Remembrance Day in Canada is on November 11
every year, and it is a day to call on, and show our respect for the members of
the armed forces who lost their lives during the first and second world wars,
some 100,000 soldiers, sailors, and airmen died protecting Canada’s shores and well-being. The day was first observed in 1918 on November 11 at 11am. During this
time, it is customary to wear poppies to show respect and support for the
Canadian troops and their families. Please wear one today and
support Canada.
